SCHOOL COOKERY CLASSES
1 hour classes for up to 12 children.
Equipment, ingredients and packaging provided.
Children will create a new recipe each week with a focus on seasonal ingredients and tastings. In order to reduce sugar in our baking recipes we are creating fruit powders (beetroot and apple cakes).
Packaging will be provided so they can bring their culinary creations home.
The Classes enable the Children to develop their fine motor skills, using a range of equipment under supervision (box graters, children’s knives, pestle & mortar, melon baller, pasta cutters and julienne peelers). We introduce new equipment for children in Year 3 and above (spiraliser and pasta machine).
The Classes help to develop teamwork skills, sharing, listening and following instructions, reading recipes and measuring ingredients. Team leaders are allocated to build confidence.
A team leader is nominated each week and certificates presented at the end of each term.
All classes are nut free and we can adapt to dietary requirements.
